About The Role
We’re changing the way we run ANZ by adopting new ways of working so we can build a better ANZ for our customers today and in the future.
The success of our Business Transformation is dependent on having great people to deliver quality outcomes for our customers so we’re looking for people who are passionate about transformational change so we can redefine banking for the future. Join us as we reimagine the industry using the latest platforms and technology to better support our customers’ financial wellbeing.
If you’d like to part of something completely different, then we’d love to hear from you.
What’s Your Mission?
As a DevOps Engineer your mission is to help design and deliver a modern banking platform and supporting suite of services that provide simple and secure ways for our customers to engage with the bank.
Your mission is to help design and deliver customer experiences that empower our customers and partners to interact seamlessly with ANZ with high levels of trust.
You’ll employ your testing and engineering skills to help reshape how we deliver high-quality customer experiences faster and more efficiently to our customers, and will bring a creative, customer focused mindset to the role
What Will Your Day Look Like?
As a DevOps Engineer working within Gearbox Core, you will be responsible for helping application teams consume our new cloud native application platform, build out infrastructure as code, building CI/CD pipelines and support production releases. You’ll be using automation to deliver infrastructure, applications and fully automate our security and governance controls.
We will turn to you for suggestions on how to improve the platforms, processes and tools. We expect that you already have great ideas you can share at our DevOps Guild and industry Meetups. You assist development teams to automate the collection of key application/system metrics and update dashboards to display them.
As an engineer within this team, you will be responsible for defining our development tooling and work with our platform teams to help maintain the CI/CD pipelines. You will also utilise container-based toolsets in your day-to-day development and work across both AWS and GCP environments to meet the desired business outcomes.
What Will Be in Your Toolkit?
So, Why Join Us?
ANZ is a great place to grow. We know our people look to their leaders to understand what is and isn’t valued.
Developing a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture. It means we actively encourage people to try new things so we can improve. With effort, we can all learn and grow.
We ask our leaders to practice daily leadership behaviours – things like connecting with empathy, empowering people, growing people selflessly, being curious and creating shared clarity. These are the leadership behaviours we need to transform ANZ. We support our leaders with tools, tips and online coaching.
ANZ recognises the value of an inclusive and diverse work environment. We take pride in the diversity of our people and encourage applications from diverse candidates. If you are a candidate with a disability, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.
Our recruitment decisions are based on the key inherent needs and requirements of each role, and candidates are selected based on their unique strengths and characteristics.
At ANZ we aim to create an inclusive environment where employee differences such as gender, age, culture, disability, sexual orientation, family and caring responsibilities and religion are valued and supported.
We work flexibly at ANZ. Talk to us and let us know how this role can be flexible for you.
Under the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, the successful candidate will need to provide evidence that they have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by 26 November 2021, or have a medical exemption evidenced by an authorised medical practitioner, in order to be appointed to the role.
